The 2012 AFF was the most successful festival we’ve held, and I put that success down to Cyn’s creative vision.
Everything, from the website, to the foldout program, signage and leaflets communicated a strong brand that is bright, energetic and happy – quintessentially Australian – all the things that Australian Film Fest stands for.
The project
A ten day film festival across 4 locations, showcasing the best in Australian Film. The 2012 Australian Film Festival needed a Creative Director. Cyn was employed for the role.
Products:
Marketing collateral across print and digital (Festival Guide, advertisements, media releases, ticketing, banners, brochures, flyers, merchandise). Website. Social media channels and content. Blogs. Interviews. Video and photography, e-Direct Marketing.
Disciplines:
Web design, Graphic Design, Copywriting, Web Development. Web Maintenance. Branding, Blogging, PR and Media Communications.
Our service
As Creative Director and marketing manager, Cyn was tasked with all aspects of the Film Festival communications production – across technical/digital development, promotional communications, and art direction.
This fast paced, 10 day event required a year of pre-production, with Cyn and Director Barry Watterson managing a team of volunteers to implement the marketing strategy.
Cyn remained hands-on throughout the process, designing and organising production of all collateral.
Included in the AFF is the Australian Film Walk of Fame, where Deborah Mailman and Barry Otto were immortalised on teh Australian Film Walk of Fame that year.
The events sold out and the 2012 AFF had a record attendance.
